How we protect your data
- All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted.
- Who-sees-what rules are enforced inside the database itself, not only in the app, so bypassing the app does not reveal anything you are not entitled to.
- There are no passwords. Sign-in and verification codes are short-lived, attempt-limited and stored hashed.
- In-event introduction codes rotate every minute and guessing is rate-limited.
- We never store your coordinates, and we strip location data from photos.
- Each user can only upload into their own storage space.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your email secure: whoever can read it can sign in to your account.
- Never share a sign-in or verification code; we will never ask you for one.
- Tell us immediately if you think someone accessed your account.
Acceptable use
- The details on your card must be true and your own.
- No spam or unsolicited bulk messages; marketers have a daily limit on connection and meeting requests.
- No fake or misleading events, and no impersonating another organization.
- Organizers must use their organization’s official email and a valid commercial registration number, and are responsible for their events and their content.
- Respect other people’s settings: if someone blocked you or accepts no requests, do not try to reach them another way.
- No collecting, scraping or selling users’ data, and no using contacts to send marketing outside the app without their consent.
- Marketers must follow Saudi rules on marketing and electronic messages.
- No attempts to break into, disrupt or access parts of the app you are not entitled to.
Content you add
- You are responsible for everything you add to your card or events (text, photos, logos), and you confirm you have the right to use it and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights or the law.
- You give us a free, non-exclusive permission to show this content in the app and its messages as needed to run the service; it ends when you delete the content or your account.
Events
- The organizer alone is responsible for their event: accurate details, any permits and licences required by the competent authorities, and the safety of the venue and attendees.
- We do not check event permits, and we may take down any announcement we consider in breach or misleading.
Terms for marketers
- By signing up as a marketer you confirm you represent the organization on your card and are authorized to contact people on its behalf.
- You must keep to the daily limit on connection and meeting requests and respect other people’s settings: if someone chose not to receive requests from marketers, do not try to reach them any other way.
- You may not move contacts you obtain into marketing lists or send them bulk messages outside the app without their explicit consent.
- You alone are responsible for your offers, prices, promises and any agreement with your clients; Talaqira is not a party to them.
- We may restrict or suspend your account without compensation if reports against you repeat or you break these terms.
- You will compensate us for any claim or damage we suffer because of your outreach, your offers or your breach.
Terms for organizers
- By publishing an event you confirm you are authorized to publish for your organization, that the event is real and licensed by the competent authorities where a licence is required, and that its date, place and description are accurate.
- You alone are responsible for organizing and running the event, the safety of the venue and attendees, and any tickets, fees or refunds handled outside the app.
- You must follow the Kingdom’s advertising rules, and your announcement must not be misleading, unlawful or infringe anyone’s rights, including logos and trademarks.
- If you cancel or move the event, update it in the app immediately so everyone who confirmed is notified.
- A partner you add to your event (host or venue) sees the announcement and its numbers once they accept, and you are responsible for choosing them.
- Sponsors you add to your event (name, logo and link) are your sole responsibility: you confirm you have an agreement with them and permission to use their names and logos, and that their links are safe and not misleading. The platform does not verify sponsors or their websites, is not a party to any sponsorship agreement or payment between you and them, and may take the announcement down if this breaks these terms.
- You receive aggregate numbers about your event only; you get attendees’ contact details only from those who connect with you themselves. Any data you receive through the app may not be used beyond the purpose it was given for.
- Reach and attendance figures are estimates; we do not guarantee any number of views or attendees.
- Each organization’s first event is reviewed before it goes out, and we may reject or take down any announcement, or suspend the organization’s account, without compensation if it breaks these terms.
- You will compensate us for any claim, fine or damage we suffer because of your event, your announcement or your breach.
Bans and removed announcements
- The platform administration may take down any announcement that breaks these terms and ban any account that does, telling its owner why.
- A banned account cannot sign up again with the same email.
- We owe no obligation or compensation for taking down an announcement or account that breaks these terms.
- Every user may block anyone; the two then disappear from each other and no request can get through.
Security incidents
- If a breach affects your data, we will notify you and the competent authorities as the law requires, and act to contain it.
Limitation of liability
- Talaqira helps people reach each other and meet; it is not a party to any agreement between users, nor to organizing events.
- Card details are written by their owners; we only verify organizers’ official email. Check any person or organization yourself before dealing or paying.
- We do not guarantee any business result from using the app, such as a deal, a client or a number of attendees.
- Face-to-face meetings happen at the responsibility of the people involved.
- Events, their content and schedules are their organizers’ responsibility. If an organizer cancels or moves an event, we notify everyone who confirmed.
- The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profit, reputation or data.
- Location checks depend on the accuracy of your device and network; we are not liable for the effects of inaccurate readings.
- Some features open third-party services such as WhatsApp, email and maps, which are governed by their own terms and policies.
- We work to keep the service running; it may pause for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control.
- Any information or suggestion in the app, such as suggested people or reach estimates, is for guidance only; decisions you make based on it are your own responsibility.
- Any dispute between you and another user or an organizer is between you and them, and you release us from any claim arising from it.
- In any case, our liability for any direct damage will not exceed the total you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Because the service is provided to you free of charge, we owe no financial compensation to anyone who has paid us nothing, to the fullest extent the law allows.
- These limits apply to the fullest extent the law allows and do not cover what the law does not allow to be excluded.
Force majeure
- We are not liable for any delay, interruption or damage caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as disasters, failures of telecom networks or service providers, cyber-attacks or government decisions.
Indemnity
- You are responsible for, and will compensate us for, any claim or damage to us or others caused by your breach of these terms or the law, or by content you added.
Intellectual property
- The Talaqira name, logo, app design and software belong to Faisal Hussain Ali and may not be copied or used without written permission.
Changes to the service and terms
- We may develop the service, change its features or discontinue some of them.
- If we change these terms materially, we will show you the new text to accept before you continue using the app.
Closing your account
- You can delete your account at any time from «My card». After deletion we keep only what the law requires, as the privacy policy explains.
Fees
- The app is free for attendees and marketers. Any future fees apply to organizers only and will be announced before they apply.
Governing law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- We aim to settle any disagreement amicably first by contacting us; failing that, it goes to the competent courts in the Kingdom.
- To the extent the law allows, any claim relating to the app must be brought within one year of its cause arising.
General
- If any clause of these terms is held invalid, the rest remain in force.
- The Arabic text prevails if the two languages differ.
- We contact you through the app or your email, and a message counts as delivered once sent.
- These terms together with the privacy policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the app.
- We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to any successor operating the app; you may not transfer yours without our consent.
- Not enforcing a right at some point does not mean we waive it.
Contact
- To report a security problem or a violation: talaqira@gmail.com, or through “Contact us” in the app.
